National Commercial Spot Production with Media Buy
Chevrolet partnered with Disney's tent pole film Tomorrowland to strategically align both brands' pillars of optimism and imagination. The vehicle tied with the film was the launch of the next-generation Chevrolet Volt. The spot includes animations based on scans of concepts from the GM Heritage Center in Sterling Heights, Michigan, culminating in bringing the Volt to life.
The five concepts featured in the commercial include Firebird III, Firebird IV (built for the 1964 World's Fair in New York and plays a crucial part in the plot of Tomorrowland), Astro II, Astro III, and Express concept. The vehicles gradually morph into the battery, the first-generation Volt, and finally, the next-gen Volt, which drives off from Tomorrowland.
This spot garnered over 77.5M impressions, with more than 6M video plays over online channels.
