Live Event Production Honoring Exemplary Executives

On October 25, 2022, I was tasked with organizing five vendors and 15 volunteers to transform and create inviting spaces, which included an interview room for video production, a pre-meeting conference room, a cocktail reception, a dining space with seating for 200, and a stage for the ceremony for the Annual Deming Cup for Operational Excellence at Columbia University's Low Library Rotunda.

In addition to running the event, I had the pleasure of welcoming 2022 winner Kathy Warden, Chair, CEO, and President of Northrop Grumman. Before the cocktail reception, we hosted a pre-event assembly and business roundtable. There I had the pleasure of introducing Provost Mary Boyce of Columbia University to a room of 25 esteemed guests, including prior winners of The Deming Cup. 

The event was seamless for both in-person and Zoom attendees, as this was the first time the ceremony was live-streamed.

Additional tasks included:

• Sending out invitations and recording attendees 

• Look and feel for the entire event (flowers, linens, food selection, lighting, video production)

• Hiring and managing multiple vendors (flowers, catering, photography, videography, A/V)

• Organizing volunteers 

• Executive communications for the event

• Scriptwriting and editing for the event

• Time management for the event

• Executive support
