Deming Cup New York Times Full Page Advertisements
On March 29, 2022, we ran a full-page advertisement with The New York Times announcing the Call for Nominations for candidates for the 2022 Deming Cup. Once this article was published, I began gathering the nominations, working with nominee's communications teams to fill out the nomination forms, actively fundraising, putting together extensive dossiers for each candidate (10 pages per candidate), organizing and leading calls with three references per nominee, and organizing the judging committee call. The judging committee call comprises the past winners and notable leaders affiliated with Columbia Business School.
I also organized the judging committee call, tallied the votes, communicated with the winners that they were selected, and worked with a designer for our announcement via another full-page color advertisement (the first time in the award history) in the New York Times.
On September 6, 2022, we ran another full-page advertisement in The New York Times as a surprise congratulation to the winners.
Additional tasks included:
Actively fundraised and gathered the most support that has been raised in Deming Center history
Organized the judging committee call and scripts for the presentation of the nominees
Creating a script and structure for the calls with each reference that was unique to each nominee
Sourcing, hiring, and directing a graphic designer for the New York Times creative
