North American International Auto Show Reveal
On January 14, 2017, Chevrolet made a special announcement at the 2017 North American International Auto Show. Bright and early in the morning, we held a press event and revealed the partnership with The Lego Batman Movie by revealing the life-size Chevrolet Batmobile.
The life-size project took 222 hours to design and 1,833 hours to build by Lego Master Builders in Enfield, Connecticut. We also had the Lego Master Builders on site for the reveal, as they could speak to the effort that went into this stunning project. The finished Batmobile stands 7 feet tall and 17 feet long and comprises 344,187 Lego bricks.
Additional tasks included:
Coordinating for months with Lego Master Builders as they designed and built
Securing a timelapse video of the 222 hours that it took to build the life-size vehicle
Organizing and managing all of the press shoots on set we took before the reveal to be used by the media
Working with the Auto Show Team to set up the space for the reveal on the first public day of the show
Delivering all Chevrolet assets to the Lego team to be used in construction
